save our children

♥ gifted beret Pac-Sun sunglasses ♥ vintage dress from Vida Antigua ♥ vintage pin ♥ estate sale rings ♥ eyeball lunch-kit turned into a purse from Hastings Forever21 belt  Kohl's socks Bass shoes
At first I thought all the red clashed with the pink in my hair, but it grew on me. I have been so busy lately, because of work, and planning everything for Europe, and a bunch of other stuff. That being said, I've got some great new items for the shop and my wardrobe, and my room is in shambles! I've also recently decided that I'm going to start filling in my eyebrows more. It's really grown on me, and I actually don't like how my eyebrows look when I don't fill them in now! The weather is getting warmer, and I still don't have an even tan on my legs.
I took this picture earlier today at this fundraiser my dad was a part of. I don't know why, but I really liked the aesthetic of this sign for it's simplicity and how it's slightly warn.  The more I looked at the sign, the more I noticed how you can vaguely see an 'X' over 'GOD.'
Packing!!! Today I discovered the magic of ziplock bags. I sucked out all the air and squished everything in the bags to have more room in my suitcase (because socks and undies take up way too much room lemme tell ya about it).
Some of these clothes I need to put in the shop, and others is just laundry I haven't put up. Like I said, my room is in shambles (and it's slowly killing me).
My dad and I went to quite a few garage sales and estate sales the past few days. Naturally, I got quite a few goodies for myself, including a vintage necklace and pin, estate costume jewelry, and a 1950's glasses sleeve.
I've also been on quite a book-buying kick, too. I'm starting to collect LIFE Nature/World Library books, because they are seriously the best thing ever (perfect pictures and fun facts).

Although everything is sort of hectic right now, all is well in the land of Texas. What about you cool cats? Leave a comment below telling me what you've been up to!

cactus baby

♥ Bill Murray necklace Oasap dress Kohl's leggings Forever21 combat boots ♥ antique briefcase ♥ Old Navy, UO, and vintage bangles
I went thrifting with my mom earlier today, and found some real gems. A sequin mini dress from the early 1980s, Wayne's World on VHS, "Total Eclipse of the Heart" 45 record, and a lace, halter, maxi dress from the 1990s. (nail polish from Walgreens)
The other day some friends and I went to the beach. It was really fun, but I only got a taste of that wonderful summer feeling (since we only stayed at the beach for a little less than an hour). My goal this summer is to get an even tan, so hopefully I'll be seeing the beach a lot this summer (or lakes or friends' pools). I'm still in a weird state after graduating. It's not that I'm in shock, it's just that I've been waiting for this time in my life for such a long time, and now it's finally here. It feels surreal, even though it's 100% real, and I couldn't be happier. And in less than 10 days I'll be leaving for Europe!

Last, but not least, the winner of the giveaway is Jesse Walker!!! Congratz, girl!

How has everyone's summer been so far?

you have reached your destination

Forever21 hat ♥ thrifted blouse Forever21 necklace Coach purse ♥ vintage/JCP/UO bracelets Forever21 jeans Forever21 socks (from forever ago- no pun intended haha) Agaci jellies
I FINALLY got a camera of my own! (I've been using my sister's Canon Rebel ever since the world began) It was a graduation present (but really & truly my fav grad present was from Cass and it's John Waters' autobiograpHY EEEE!), and I'm so so happy. Now I will be taking photos of EVERYTHINGGGG. So get ready, folks.
L.M. Strange also graduated this weekend! Today I went with her and her parents to the airport, because she is traveling to England to stay with her boyfriend. It's soooo weird that I won't be seeing her every week, but they'll most likely meet up with me when I'm in London.
Okay, so I kind of went nuts on the photos, but you guys will shortly understand. This new antique/boutique shop opened in a neighboring town, and I am in love. The place is called Annette's and it is filled with magical handmade decor, jewelry, antiques, and clothing that is vintage inspired. We passed this glorious building on the way to graduation (oh yeah I didn't take any grad pics because it was hotter than heck and I'm lame so sorry), and knew the moment we saw it we had to go. So yeah, the pictures really explain it all!
 Praise the Lard!
Two of the most beautiful skirts I have ever seen! Maybe I'll come back and get one...
 Accurate map of Texas.
This Jesus statue was about eight feet tall, and I need it in my life.
That bowling sign!!!

ALMOST bought this mask, but I had to stop myself (because I really need to save my money).
 [insert heart eyes emoji]
I really liked the shape and deconstruction of these pieces...
There will always be a place in my heart for vintage press on wallpaper.

Pins I bought from Annette's for only $2 each (TYBG for vintage reprint pins)!
THE MOST BEAUTIFUL SWIMSUIT EVER. The price hurt my soul, but my dad insisted I couldn't live without it (which I am FOREVER grateful). I've never been comfortable in swimsuits for many reasons, but thanks to this swimsuit I want to swim and never leave the water! The best part about this swimsuit it that it was made in San Diego, CA,  and I'm pretty sure it's going to last me at least 10 years.

If you haven't noticed, my life post-high school has noticeably improved. How has everyone else been? Tell me about your last weeks or high school/college/whatever in a comment below!
